Thank you
March 1, 2010On February 5, the first of two big snowstorms hit Hampshire County. Our web site launched a Review Watch on our home page to help residents cope with the storm. We included road conditions, school closings, cancellations emailed from our readers, and even plowing services available. Thanks to Marla Pisciotta and Don Kesner we had updated stories from the Department of Highways and the Office of Emergency Management. We had current weather conditions and alerts from NOAA.
We asked our faithful readers to send us their snow photos. And, they did – about 200 of them – that we used in the paper and included in two different slide shows.
Our web department has the ability to track the number of visitors to our site. For the week of Feb. 5 – 12, the Review Watch received over 16,000 hits. Is that amazing or what?
To our readers who sent information or photos, thanks for helping us get the word out to the residents of Hampshire County. Without you help, we would not have been able to give the comprehensive coverage that we did. To those of you who visited our Review Watch, we appreciate your interest in the Hampshire Review web site. We hope you visit often as we add new headlines daily as well as breaking news as it happens. Become a fan on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.
We have two new bloggers coming on board. I’ll introduce them later in the week.
Take care.
